Remember when you were a kid and you had that group of friends that you knew so well when you got together the conversations went like, “Yes and, yes and, yes and…”?  That’s Trio Eclectique 903.  This trio takes the best of a lifetime of musical experiences and turns them into music that tells a story; the world story from every culture of human history, a story told with flickering light, music and joy.  No showboating, just honest music that connects to that thing inside the human soul that relates and elicits a response, “Love your music.”

Trio Eclectique is a conversation between these musicians… guitarist- Art Viloria, bassist- Bernardo Gomez and percussionist, Catón Lyles and audiences exploring joy, passion, and emotion.  It reaches into that passion, that “fado”, which came before rumba and salsa and out of the Moorish tradition, out of pain and turning that stuff of life in to rhythm and song.

Trio Eclectique 903 came together in 2015 and continues as the monthly musical accompaniment for First Thursdays at Gallery 903 in Portland’s Pearl district.  In addition they were recently included in the documentary, Portland Inc. and have played a variety of private corporate events for RAAC including CH2M Hill, ZGF Architects, Stoel Rives, The Standard, NW Natural and Portland Mercado to name a few.
